Do You Really Need To Lose Weight Or Not?

No matter where you live in the world one of the most discussed topics every day is weight loss. Many people think they might need to drop a few pounds, but they are just not sure.

Sometimes they try to kid themselves into thinking they really are not overweight! Let’s take a look at a couple of things that could be clues you really are overweight and need to lose some.

1. Are your clothes getting a little tighter than they used to be? Maybe even worse is finding yourself shopping for larger clothes every six months!

Depending on the climate or the time of the year weight fluctuations happens to most of us. However if your weight is not going back down you might be suffering something more than a slight weight gain.

Weight gains of even the smallest amount can add up if the fluctuation does not work itself back down. It can begin to affect your health as well as the fact you are no longer fitting in your clothes. This is a pretty good sign that you need to lose some weight.

2. Have you always been a little overweight weight but now may be approaching obesity. Many people really do not understand the difference between being obese and being overweight.

If you are 30 or 40 pounds over your recommended way you could be approaching obesity. Being obese is a health hazard as well as affect your appearance and many times your self confidence. It may be time for you to face the fact that you do need to lose weight and that you are in fact obese.

3. Do you find yourself struggling to catch your breath? Things that we all used to be able to do easily when we were younger are a little harder now.

One thing that is noticeable is when you walk long distances or go up a flight of stairs. If you find yourself out of breath quickly there’s a chance you need to lose some weight.

4. Has someone other than your doctor told you it’s time to lose weight? If someone tells you that you are overweight do not take it as an insult. A good friend or relative may in fact be trying to do you some good.

Your doctor is looking out for your health if they tell you to go on a weight loss program. However the same can be true with a good friend. They probably are more worried about your health than they are about your appearance!
